A new website to highlight creativity
Overview
A personal reinterpretation of Talina's website, a Barcelona jewelry brand, built as a self-directed exploration. The question: how does a website hold the presence of an object made by hand, without falling into either e-commerce convention or empty minimalism? Designed and developed independently, from art direction to a working prototype.
Context
Talina's collections are handmade, one at a time. The exploration started from a simple bet: what if each piece was introduced the way a maker would introduce it in person, and the site's whole rhythm (pacing, type, cursor, transitions) carried that same handmade attention.
Design
A restrained palette anchored by a deep wine red, paired with a typewriter-and-serif contrast: Times New Roman for editorial weight, Courier New for a raw, workshop-note counterpoint. A custom cursor, modeled on a wood bead, shifts color on hover: a small tactile signal that nothing on the page is mass-produced. Built in Next.js and Tailwind, animated with Framer Motion, deployed as a live prototype.
